How to use lithium carbonate in mortar

Since Portland cement is often used in mortar, it is characterized by low early strength and high late strength.

In order to improve its early strength, lithium carbonate is mainly used in grouting materials, cement-based plastering mortars, repair mortars, seat slurries and other products.

Adding an appropriate amount of lithium carbonate to the product is very beneficial to improving early strength.

In order to improve the early strength, high alumina cement is usually added to the mortar as a setting accelerator, and antifreeze is added to prevent freezing in low temperature environments.

lithium carbonate has a dual role. It can not only accelerate the hardening speed of cement and improve early strength, but also avoid the problem of too slow condensation speed during winter construction or low-temperature and humid environments, so that cement products can be put into use as soon as possible with increased strength. Lithium carbonate is especially suitable for early use. Strength has a greater contribution.

In summer, the dosage of lithium carbonate is usually 0.01% to 0.03% of the cement mass, while in winter the dosage of lithium carbonate should increase appropriately as the temperature drops, and the dosage is about 0.02% to 0.05%.

The dosage of lithium carbonate should not be too high, otherwise it will cause cracking.
