Product Working Principle
PCE powder works through a comb-shaped polymer structure: the polymer backbone carries carboxylic groups that anchor onto the surface of cement particles, while long side chains extend outward into the surrounding water. This creates steric hindrance — a physical "cushion" between particles — that keeps cement grains apart and prevents them from clumping together (flocculation). The result is a more fluid, workable mix at a lower water dosage than older-generation naphthalene-based (PNS) admixtures, which rely mainly on weaker electrostatic repulsion.
