VAE Re-dispersible Powder introduction

ES1620 is a vinyl acetate/vinyl redispersible copolymer latex powder, which has excellent bonding properties.VAE Re-dispersible Powder is especially suitable for use in combination with other inorganic binders such as cement, lime and gypsum or as a bonding component for the manufacture of interior and exterior wall putty, caulking, plastering and insulation.

●  Tiles and building adhesives      

Used to make hydraulic thin layer tile adhesives with good frost resistance.      

●  Bonding mortar for exterior wall insulation finish system (EIFS)      

Adding 1.5~3% 1620 to the external wall insulation system can improve its adhesion and durability.     

●  Self-leveling floor / floor material      

It is recommended to add 1.5~12%,1620 and 0.3~0.8% casein when preparing the self-leveling floor material. To obtain a fast-condensing system, Portland cement and high-alumina cement are used together. Usually, it is also necessary to add a certain defoaming agent.      

●  Interior & exterior putty and Caulking agent      

According to different strength requirements, it is necessary to add 1~5% of  ES1620 and other organic additives such as cellulose ethers/starch ethers.      

●  Plastering and facing mortar      

Adding 2 to 5% of  ES1620 to cement or lime-cement based finish plasters improves adhesion, abrasion resistance and flexibility.      

●  Modification of gypsum and anhydrite-based materials      

"Adding  ES1620 to repair materials and gypsum board with gypsum as adhesive improves the flexural strength, impact resistance and bond strength of the product. To improve water retention,

Additives such as cellulose ether can be added. It should be noted that the addition of water retention agent and  ES1620 will increase the gas content of the mortar. For some special cases, it may be necessary to add a certain defoamer.

ES1620 is also well suited for use in gypsum and anhydrite-based self-leveling floors. The recommended dosage is 2 to 6%."

Package&Storage

VAE Re-dispersible Powder is made of kraft paper and plastic film lined film bag, 25kg packaging.

The ES1620 should be stored in a cool place and protected from moisture. Since this product is thermoplastic, it should be stored under high temperature conditions, otherwise there will be a risk of agglomeration. From the time of delivery, the storage time should not exceed 6 months.

Precautions for using VAE Re-dispersible Powder:

The feeding of VAE Re-dispersible Polymer Powder should not be done at once, but in batches to find the appropriate amount.


When adding polypropylene fibers, they should be dispersed in cement first, as the small particles of cement can eliminate the static electricity of the fibers in order to disperse the polypropylene fibers.

Mix evenly, but the mixing time should not be too long, preferably 15 minutes. Mixing sand and cement for a long time can easily precipitate and layer.


It is necessary to adjust the dosage of additives and add an appropriate amount of HPMC according to seasonal changes.

Avoid additives or cement from getting damp and clumping.


It is strictly prohibited to mix and stack with acidic substances for use.
