Methods to identify the quality of VAE Re-dispersible Polymer Powder

2024-06-27 09:52

VAE Re-dispersible Polymer Powder formed polymer film has good flexibility. The film is formed on the gap and surface of cement mortar particles to form a flexible connection. Thus, the brittle cement mortar becomes elastic. Mortar with redispersible emulsion powder is several times higher in tensile resistance than ordinary mortar.

VAE Re-dispersible Polymer Powder is a thermoplastic resin with good flexibility which enables mortar to cope with changes in the external heat and cold environment, effectively preventing mortar cracking due to changes in temperature. Cement dry powder mortar mainly used in the construction industry, is an important additive to cement dry powder mortar, the quality of redispersible emulsion powder identification method:

1. Mix VAE Re-dispersible Polymer Powde with water in a ratio of 5, stir evenly and let stand for 5 minutes, then observe the underlying sediment. Generally, the less the sediment, the better the quality of the redispersible emulsion powder.

2. Mix VAE Re-dispersible Polymer Powde with water in a ratio of 2, stir evenly and let stand for 2 minutes. Then mix evenly. Pour the solution on flat clean glass, place the glass in a ventilated and shady place, dry thoroughly and remove the coating. It shows that the better the quality of the emulsion powder, and then pull the film moderately, the better the elasticity, the better the quality, the film is cut into strip bubbles in water, one day after observation, less dissolved quality.

3. Take appropriate amount of emulsion powder and weigh it. After weighing, put it into a metal container and heat it up to about 500 degrees. Let cool and then weigh the lighter the better.
